Planche – Another Tool

I recently added a planche tool to my training, and it’s been a humbling experience—in a good way. Simple setup, brutal feedback. No machines, no shortcuts, just raw strength, balance, and patience.

What stands out immediately is how honest the tool is. There’s no room to cheat. Every lean, hold, and press demands full-body tension. Shoulders, core, wrists—everything has to work together or the movement simply doesn’t happen.

It’s also made me slow down and respect progressions. Even basic holds feel intense, and that’s forced me to focus more on form, control, and consistency rather than rushing toward the end goal.

The planche tool fits well into my routine. It doesn’t take much space, works indoors or outdoors, and pairs nicely with other bodyweight movements. That simplicity makes it easier to show up regularly, which is something I’m intentionally prioritizing.

So far, this tool has reinforced a lesson I keep relearning: real progress comes from control, not complexity. The right tool, used consistently, can expose weaknesses and build real strength.

Less ego. More tension. One lean at a time.
